Valentine's Day Breakfast
Still searching for Valentine's Day gift ideas? Don't worry! How about preparing him/ her a special Valentine's Day breakfast in bed?
( egg in the nest recipe)
- First, use cookie cutter to cut the bread
- Then, cook the bread and egg until the egg white is fully cooked
Tip: use low heat! Otherwise, the bread will be burned before the egg is cooked.
- Draw some ketchup hearts
This one was for my son.
I broke the yoke, and cooked both sides. Then I outlined the egg heart with ketchup.
-Use the leftover bread to make a strawberry jam sandwich

Little Red Hearts
Are you wondering what the little red heart on the stick is? It's a marshmallow!
First, I used a little heart shape cookie cutter to cut the marshmallow. Then I spray painted it with food color spray.
Remember, don't spray too much! The color will get darker after a few minutes.
You can serve it as a little treat for your valentine, or place it on a cupcake with white frosting. Even better..... using it as a hot chocolate stirrer!

Marshmallow Pop: Teddy Bear
Here is how to make this bear pop:
- Put the bear together
- Add ears
If you couldn't find these giant sprinkles ( from Michael's) for the ears, try fruit roll ups. Also, I think it might be fun if your marshmallow bear is holding a gummy bear!
Customize your teddy bear....it's fun!

A Very Different Kind of Valentine's Day Cookie (EKG)
You probably have seen hundreds of beautiful Valentine's Day cookies. Most of them are heart shaped, and are red or pink. I would love to make something like that, but I just couldn't come out with any new idea.
So....I made something different: the EKG ( ECG/ heart monitor/ cardio) cookies! Actually, it's a EKG graham cracker.
It took me only 3 minutes to make this cracker. Everything I used here are store bought. However, I'm sure it will taste much better if you use homemade sugar cookie.
You may give this to your Valentine, family doctor, med student friend or someone you know who just had a body check!
These "oops! your heart has stopped" cookies would be fun desserts for your Halloween party!

Candy Cane Hearts
Do you still have lots of leftover candy canes from Christmas? Why not turn them into some sweet treats for Valentine's Day? It's super easy!

- Bake them in 250 degree F preheated oven until the end parts starting to melt (about 6 to 7 minutes)
- Immediately after you get them out of the oven, press the connecting parts together gently by hands ( don't worry, they are not that hot)
- Wait! don't eat these yet!
- Maybe later you would like to make some chocolate bark with candy canes like this one from The Decorated Cookie. Tweet Pin It

Marshmallow Bunny
It's getting closer to the Chinese new year! Do you know it will be the year of the rabbit?
Check out these marshmallow bunnies I prepared! Aren't they adorable? Hey......this could be a fun dessert idea for the Easter too!
3 marshmallows can turn into 2 bunnies!

- Use scissors to cut the marshmallows
- Place the ears on the bunny
Tips: I prepared a cup of hot water and paper towels on the side so that I can clean my scissors anytime.

Fun Ways to Pack Kid's Lunches
Usually my son doesn't care if the lunch I pack for him is cute or not. He doesn't eat much in school anyway >.< Once a while, he gets up in the morning, and asks me to pack him something cute for school. That's a problem! My mind is always empty in the morning. Besides, I don't even have enough time for my morning coffee, how can I come up with cute lunch idea?
These are what I do:

Sunflower Egg
Check out this fun breakfast idea! Isn't it a wonderful way to start your day? No special ingredient or tool required! All you need is an egg, half a wiener dog and a little pack of ketchup.
Cook both sides of this sunflower if you want the yolk to be fully cooked. Otherwise, it's prettier
when it's cooked only on one side.
Remove egg white that sticks out with a little knife, then decorate the flower with ketchup

Mini Babybel Cheese Girls
Ladies, are you searching for a new hairstyle for the new year? I might be able to give you some ideas.
These babybel cheeses are fun and healthy appetizer/snack choices if you are setting up a party for girls! Or a " it's a girl" baby shower. How about boys? umm.... after we finish eating these babybels, I would love to make some more just for boys.
Which hair style do you like? My favorite is style 5. I don't think it will look good on me though.
By the way, the eyes on these girls are made from black sesame seeds.
Sep 2011 update:
The idea of these Babybel girls was featured on Disney FamilyFun magazine September issue. So excited ^,^
