I am so excited to share this news with you. The New York Times bestseller Cake Pops by Bakerella pops off the pages and into the toy aisle with a brand new line of toy: Cake Pops by Bakerella Ultimate Cake Pop Set.
The Cake Pops by Bakerella line is for age 5 and up and is available at Toys R Us only for $19.99. This cake pop making kit gives the little bakers in your house the perfect tools to craft delightful cake pops!
This review is not about how much your kids will love this toy, it's what you, a grown up, can do with this cake pop making kit. I have to say that this Ultimate Cake Pops Set is not just a toy, it can be used as a real kitchen tool. You can use it to create beautiful cake pops that are good enough to be sold in the bakery!
This cake pops set comes with
1 mixing bowl, 1 dipping bowl, 1 crumbler, 1 stand, 1 tray, 1 instructional placemat, 2 pressers, 4 molds and 24 plastic cake pop sticks.
It's easy to use! (you will get step by step instruction on the instructional placemat)
I dipped my cake pops in pink candy melts, then decorated them with sprinkles.
What I like the most about this Ultimate Cake Pops Set is the cake pop stand and the plastic picks. They can be used not only for cake pops, but also for other food!
I want to buy anothe set for myself just to get one more stand and the plastic picks ^,^

I have not make cake pops yet, but I have made other candies that were dipped in chocolate. My kids would have fun making cake pops with this adorable kit.
ReplyDeleteI learned that using a cake pop baking pan set does not give you the same moist deliciousness as this method, much as I'm slightly skeeved by the smushed up cake and frosting together

ReplyDeleteoh man. this giveaway rocks!
ReplyDeletei've never made cake pops before. i'd love to try with this kit! thanks for the chance to win!
Cake pops: seen it, tried it, made it :) The stand alone that comes with this product is enough to make me buy it! But a free one is even better! :)
ReplyDeleteI tried cake pops a few years ago before they were as popular as they are now. I bought a couple to share with my daughter. Now she's older, cake pops are popular and this would be the perfect kit for her to use.
ReplyDeleteI shared this on my FB page. Looks like loads of fun!
ReplyDeleteI work in a retail store that sells a cake pop baking machine but it is not the same since it just bakes the cake dough in the form of balls (no icing mixed in). That machine is misleading to people because it does not make REAL cake pops. I think the molds that come with this kit look really great - saves getting your hands all dirty and they all come out the same perfect size. I would love this kit!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE making cake pops. They're great to freeze and eat later on since it's just me eating them. I make them with GF cake mix and when I feel the need, I pull one out of the freezer and it's bliss :)
ReplyDeleteI shared this post on my facebook page (Patty Berry).
ReplyDeleteI tried the cake balls when they first came out and people absolutely loved them! I have yet to try the cake pops though - not sure why, but I'm sure my soon to be 5 year old (next month is her birthday) would love to try to make some with me using this kit!
ReplyDeletenot for US residents? not fair... i never made cake pops but i have admired Bakerella's website. and i've made cookie balls dipped in chocolate. not that it matters...
ReplyDeleteI agree the stand is a big thing. I also like the different shaped molds. Great ideas here.
ReplyDeleteooooh, i want it!!! i haven't yet tried cake pops but would love to & i'm sure my son would enjoy it too! thx for the opportunity!

ReplyDeleteI've made cake pops quite often, though never with any kind of kit or anything. I love making them and my daughter loves watching me make them (and loves eating them)!
ReplyDeleteI have made cake pops a few times, but they were the ugliest things you've ever seen! I cannot seem to master the melted chocolate part. However, they were beyond yummy and since I couldn't share ugly treats with others... We ate them all and were very happy. ;)

i made the mini ice cream cone ones.. mostly so when i dipped them in chocolate and it ran all down the cone (an utter mess) it at least looked like melted ice cream! lol ;) thanks for the giveaway!! :)
ReplyDeleteI made them a few years ago. It would be so nice to have the mold so all of them ate the same size. Mine was a variety of sizes (totally unintentional)!!! Thanks for letting me know about this and the chance to win it!
ReplyDeleteI've tried making them and the balls just wouldn't stay a ball! i would love this!!
ReplyDeleteI made some really sloppy looking ones. Tasted great, and lasted foreeeeever in sealed baggies in the fridge!

ReplyDeleteCake pops are a favorite around here! I've learned that if they fall off my stick when coating, then they are too big. Having the molds would get rid of that problem!!
ReplyDeleteI love making cake pops! My kids love picking the color of the candy melt and the shape of the sprinkles!
ReplyDeleteI have not tried making cake pops, but I do own Bakerella's book, and I definitely love to EAT them. This kit might just be the thing to convince me to start making them for myself.
ReplyDeleteMy girls would love this. I have attempted cake pops one time. They were a lot of fun to make and eat! Love all of Bakerella's stuff. She is so creative.
ReplyDeletei had them once from a little bakery where i live, i love cake pops!

I've tried them on several occasions, which were all pretty messy. I always have a heard time when it comes to the candy melt dipping part, and it's hard for the the cakes to stay together. deebokim@gmail.com
