How to Make Marshmallow Bunny Pop
Check out these marshmallow pops. Isn't it the perfect dessert idea for the Easter? Ok...I know it's still far far away from Easter, but I just can't wait to show you these bunnies I made last night.
- The little red spots on the face were drawn with food coloring and a toothpick.
- Forget about the teeth if you are planning to make lots of bunnies
- Check this post for another marshmallow bunny idea and tips for making marshmallow treats.

Funny Burger Brothers
Aaron and I just came back from our Disneyland vacation. It was the first time I took Aaron travel by myself. I thought it would be a nice experience; however, the whole trip was a disaster. First, we missed our fly to LA. haha...my mistake! Then, we both got so sick. I had to take him to the emergency room one night because of high fever, and that's when I realized that I didn't buy travel insurance. Ouch! Finally, on the way to the airport to come home, he threw up on me. sigh......
Since I'm still so sick and not in the mood to make any cute food, I dug out some pictures of cute food I made a while ago to show you. Please check out this one first.
-Hair: cheese
-Eyes: fish sausage or any white color cheese+ sesame seeds
- Nose and mouth: nori ( or you can use food marker to draw on the hamburger bun)

Pink Shirt Day- Bullying Stops Here!
"Pink Shirt Day began in Nova Scotia in September 2007 as 'Stand Up Against Bullying Day' when a high school student arrived at school wearing a pink shirt. He was swarmed by a group of about 10 kids who called him gay and threatened to beat him up. Two older students, David Shepherd and Travis Price, witnessed the event and the next day showed up at school with 75 pink shirts, a pink basketball and material to make pink head and arm bands to spread around the school. Within 2 days, over 400 kids wearing pink. The bullies were made powerless." From Sir Charles Kingford- Smith Elementary newsletter.
" Pink Shirt Day- Bullying Stops Here" is taking place on Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011. Please show your support by wearing something pink on that day. I'm trying my best to support this event. My biggest challenge now is how do I convince my husband to wear something pink on that day. any suggestion?
Also, please share this message with your friends. Hopefully there will be more people join this event. Thank you everyone! Let's kick bulling our of our school yard! For more info, go to Pink Shirt Day.
Apple dip recipe:
Mix together
- 1 part of softened cream cheese ( I used Philadelphia cream cheese)
- 1 part of peanut butter ( some of you may like to add more peanut butter in this recipe)
- 1 part of brown sugar
- 1/4 part of milk
- a little bit of vanilla extract
- a little bit of cinnamon powder ( I like a bit more of this)
Serve with apple widgets
Eventhough there is sugar in this recipe, I still consider this is a healthy snack for kids!
My suggestions:
Since this recipe is so easy, don't make too much at a time. Also, the dip tast better after chilled in the fridge for half an hour! Tweet Pin It

Babybel Cheese Boys
Remember Babybel Cheese: For Girls that I posted a while ago? If you found it interesting, I'm sure you will love this one too!
Instead of black sesame seed eyes, I use nori (seaweed) for the facial details this time. You can use scissors to cut the nori, or you can use nori punch like this or this. This tool is a bit pricey. However, I think it's a good investment if you need to make cute food all the time.
There is one thing I have to mention here. I found this babybel boys a few days ago from Crescent Moon
Do they look so much like the babybel boys I'm showing you today? I made mine 2 month ago. Actually, you can see my babybel girls on the other side of these babybel boys. I swear that I didn't steal her idea. I was shocked when I saw this photo on her blog.
I also have to admit here that her babybel boys are more fun. Don't you love the one with baseball cap and the one who got a crazy hair :D Tweet Pin It

Decorated Sugar Cubes: Sweet Hearts
Do you remember I showed you how to draw a ketchup heart with a toothpick? You can use the same technique to draw cookie icing hearts on sugar cubes!
Isn't it nice to have your morning coffee with decorated sugar cubes like these on Valentine's Day?

Chinese New Year Cookie: Spring Couplet
Happy Chinese New Year! Kung Hei Fat Choi!
預祝大家新年快樂.恭喜發財!
Chinese New Year is all about celebrating the arrival of spring, and that's why I came up with this cute food project for you: learning how to write "spring" in Chinese on a red couplet cookie!
-Btw, you should use sugar or shortbread cookies, not graham crackers! hee hee...I admit that I was too lazy to go through all the troubles only to make 4 little cookies
-The basic rule of Chinese writing is from top to down; left to right; outside to inside.
- To make the word looks more like it's written
with a Chinese calligraphy brush.
Congratulations! You've just learned how to write your first Chinese word ☺
Oh~~ almost forgot to mention. These couplet cookies supposed to be served upside down since the the character for "upside down" in Chinese sounds the same as the character for "arrival". An upside down spring implies spring has arrived!

If you don't feel like making cookies, you can still write this "spring" on a piece of red paper with a paint brush to decorate your house. I think this will be a fun art project for you or your kids during Chinese New Year!
