Ghost Onigiri ( rice ball) Bento

Pin It Now!
This is another Halloween bento I made for Aaron last week.
萬聖節愛心便當系列之.....鬼飯團!

There are only 3 items in this bento. In the muffin cup are tomatoes from our back yard; the chicken drumstick is leftover from the night before; a plain rice ball. A simple lunch that contains veggie, protein and carbs!

Here is how I made the rice ball:

Put rice on a piece of food film.

Hold the rice together

Shape it

Finally, I use seaweed to decorate it into a vampire looking ghost. Pretty easy, huh!
You can also made the rice ball like this with your bare hands. Prepare a bowl of water or salt water on the side to wet your hands. This helps to keep the rice from sticking :D

Coffin Sandwich

Pin It Now!
I've been making quite a lot of Halloween bentos this year, and so far this is my favorite.
This snadwich is super easy to make. Only needs to cut out coffin shap breads and cheese, plus a salami gingerbread man. The cross on the cover of the coffin is made from bread crust.

簡單的棺材三明冶!
順便給你家的小朋友來個機會教育....人死後去那裡!呵呵呵....真是個有義意的愛心便當吧!

Spooky Halloween Party Appetizers!

Pin It Now!
I'm still thinking if I want to do a Halloween party this year. I love love love Halloween party......only if it's not in my house ;p We already had a birthday party for my son ,and a Thanksgiving party ( I'm in Canada) this month. Sigh....I'm exhausted already. It was the same last year ;p The Halloween party we had 2 years ago was a lot of fun though!
The fingers were made from wiener dogs, whole wheat tortilla and ketchup. This halloween recipe has been around for years. The bloody bandages and the cockroach sure made this dish spooky!

Creepy? Before I carved this watermelon brain, I actually went on line and checked for pictures of brain!

Ok...it's only a shrimp ring, nothing special. I did like the super real looking finger in that seafood sauce though!

Ewww.....I know I know. But you know what? They were not supposed to be poo poo cookies. I was making finger shape peanut butter cookies, but they didn't look like fingers at all when I got them out of the oven. So.....when they were still warm, I fixed them into these :p They truned out much scarier than fingers! haha..
