Healthy Snack Idea: Apple Umbrella

Pin It Now!
How did you like the Babybel umbrella I showed you on my last post? Here is another umbrella idea for you. This one was made from apple! If you want to give it a try, please check this post for apple carving tips.

Here is another one I made last year. A perfect snack for the rainy day!

Btw, the umbrella pick you see on the second picture was from J- List. It's a set of 5 different kind of food picks, and it only cost $2.80. I really love that balloon pick! I use it for cherry tomato or grape.

One more thing, if you like the ideas on this blog, please give me a "like" on my Facebook page or follow me on Twitter to get instant notifications of new fun food ideas!
Thank you so much ^,^

  4. How did you curve it so smoothly? I had trouble 'lifting' the skin off.

  5. Dear mistylo, Kelly, Stephanie, Nikita and Vardhini,
    Thank you so much ^.^

    To lil'tummy,
I use regular size kitchen knife to cut this apple umbrella. It won't be too difficult to cut the skin off if the knife is super sharp. I should make a video when I post something like this next time. It's so difficult to describe how I do it in words.

  6. Brilliant! Thanks for the coolest ideas for making real food, the healthy stuff, so attractive to kids. You prove that a little effort up front will help get the kiddies to eat more of what they should. Will use and love the pick collection.
