Candy Shamrocks

Yum Yum.....check out these these dessert ideas for St. Patrick's Day

To make these gumdrop shamrocks, first, I used my palm to flatten the gumdrops. Then I use a heart shape cookie cutter and a little knife to cut the leaves and stem. Don't forget to sprinkle some sugar on the working surface and on the candies so that they won't get too sticky. Finally, put 3 hearts and one stem together to form a shamrock.

You can use them to decorate sugar cookies.

You can even use them to decorate cupcakes like this one from familyfun.go.com. This is also where I got this gumdrop shamrock idea.
