Apple Turkey?

Pin It Now!

It's thanksgiving season!!!
How do you like this snack idea? Pretty cute, huh? The idea came from my son's preschool art project. Of course, I made some little changes.
This is defiantly a fun Thanksgiving craft you will enjoy making with your kids!
特別為感恩節做的蘋果火雞!

-Make a turkey face

-Cut off the bottom part of the apple
-Use the cut off part as a stand

-Add toothpicks

-Add mini marshmallows and gummy candies (or whatever soft candies your kids like)

-Use a toothpick to hold the face on the apple

Here is a much healthier version: fruit turkey!

  11. Tiffany, one parent was asking me if I provide step by step course with my bentos, I told her not yet. I told her to check out your website since I think you do an excellent job with your step by step how-tos. I hope you don't mind!

    加油!

  13. Very very cute! Another suggestion would be to use longer toothpicks(or cut-off bamboo skewers) then add red and green grapes at the end of the orange slices. We do something similar in the summer with fruit and a pineapple top. Thanks for posting.

  15. Found this from another food turkey - they used a pear -- I so like this one. I think I'll have to make one of the 'not so healthy ones' with my son this year. I like how you cut the apple to make a base - clever Momma You.

  17. What is the head made of, construction paper? How do you keep it from flopping forward?

  18. It's made of regular craft paper. Maybe because it's not too long, it just didn't flop forward. Try other kind of paper if this one doesn't work for you ^^
