Rice Sculpture for Him

Pin It Now!
With a very limited budget, what kind of gift can you get him for the Valentine's Day?
How about  preparing a special dinner for him?

Chinese take out served with this special rice sculpture!
I guarantee you that he will remember this dinner for a very very long time.

Got a lousy husband/ boyfriend? Try the option 2: Dino Poo Poo!

Update: when I posted this, my intention was giving people a good laugh on Sunday morning. However, when I checked my blog's Facebook page, I realized that I've just created a big issue.
I expected that some people would think it was funny, and some people would hate it. However, I was very surprised to find that some people considered this rice sculpture was x-rated, and should not been seen by kids.  After some thinking, I decided to cover up the photo. Thank you all for the comments, suggestions and support!

If you are interested ,and you are 18 years old or older, you can still find the photo on my Facebook page.

  2. Thank you so much for the possitive feedback. People on my face book seem to hate it, and I'm wondering if I should remove this post from here.
I didn't mean to upset anyone. I was hoping people would have a big laugh when they drop by >.<

  3. Well if you are advertising this Blog... Food for Kids, then it shouldn't be on here. Make another Blog for this kind of thing, that's all.

    1. The blog is for parents, and in a section that says very clearly the recipes aren't for kids, and the picture is on Facebook, but children shouldn't be. Smart parenting means this isn't an issue.

    2. We are the only country that is sooo prudish about the human form. We teach kids that we should be ashamed of our bodies. Kids see elephants having sex on animal planet but to show a body part that 50 percent of the people have is wrong? I don't get it. There should be a here's what people look like naked class. Then we could all get over it. The shame is what drives the negative behavior. If everything poops then everybody's got boobs.

    3. I agree, don't let the haters and lack of vision people cause you to hold back your humor. I didn't get to see the pic because of the censor police , but I'd bet I'd think it is funny and if my kids saw it I would think it could be a great lead-in to having an in home discussion about sexuality (at their age level, of course, ....and lets face it, kids know what breasts are at even the earliest age (sorry if a parent is so prudish that they don't want their off spring to know what breasts are, might I suggest that they might be too immature to be having a family???)

  4. Hilarious....I am a child development specialist and I still think it is funny......I also would never let my kids have a FB account or surf the web!

  8. I thought it was funny and will continue to support your blog and any of your posts!
Maybe no facebook post next time :)
    There's a disclaimer already too.
Might as well write to high schools telling them not to show minors pictures of renaissance paintings and sculptures...those are made with much more detail than a rice-rack. an very young children shouldn't be allowed to surf internet unsupervised anyway. online parent filters only filter out so much.

  9. Dear Faith,Shawna, Kelly, Stacy and Mingle, thank you both so mush for the support and opinion. I guess I better stay kids friendly recipes in the future

  10. this picture is still viewable in the rss feed. and while i agree with the statement about renaissance...i would hope that when that is being viewed it would be accompanied by an adult and permission of the parent before it is and there would be some kind of open discussion about the nature of what is being viewed...i just think there are some websites that not only post a disclaimer but at least ask about the person that is viewing being an adult before they just open up to what many parents would consider adult content...i was just surprised to see it open without that sort of option...you have a very cute blog but i think the option of creating an adult site for this sort of thing would be better

    1. You breast fed your kid? They're boobs lady, grow a sense of humor, it might come in handy once you learn how to not be so socially retarded. Good luck with the whole "i'm a douche bag" thing. Also, Facebook clearly states when you join that you must be over 18 to have a facebook account. Maybe you should take another look at your parenting abilities instead of blaming other people for how bad your child is being raised. The photo mentioned is in the "for grown ups" section so how about you learn to read and use your own judgement of parenting instead of making other people change their life to fit around yours. People like you make me not want to live on this earth any more.

  12. Hi Wona, I was just trying to figure out how come it's on the feed. I was pretty sure there is only a summary with no picture there. About the Facebook page, I'm so sorry abou that. I wanted to remove the photo, but if I do, all the comments will be gone too. Even though the comments there are not nice, I still like to keep them. I posted a comment there earlier this afternoon to ask people if they want me to remove the photo there.
Thank you so much for your feedback, and wish you a happy Sunday evening!

  13. OK I had to go look up your facebook page to see what I was missing on your blog. I don't think it's that bad/offensive at all, in fact, I think it's pretty funny. :) You see more suggestive things on victoria's secret commercials on TV all the time.

  16. Man alive, are you girls really claiming that it harms a child, old enough to use the internet, if he/she sees a rice sculpture of a topless woman? This is not bad in any way, it's funny and I liked to see that idea. Some people always want to be holier than the pope. If I would even think of limiting my childs access to this blog for that odd reason, I'd make up my mind to find out what's wrong with me. Go ahead, Tiffany, your blog is lovely and you have only shown a picture of what we all look like and believe me - our children know of that simple fact too!

  17. Hi valerie, thank you so much fot the comment. When I posted this, there was really not much went through my mind. I just simply thought it was funny. That's it.

  19. Its just RICE, that kinda looks like boobs. KINDA.
Are you honestly trying protect your children from the horrors of rice? Also curious if you breast fed your kids in the dark, cause you know, BOOBS are offensive.

Keep up the good work, Tiffany. Your blog is adorable and also its YOURS.

  20. I really wish I'd seen what all the fuss was about. Are people really offended by booby sculptures made out of food? I can't even wrap my head around that. LOL! I bet these are the same people who won't take their children to art museums because of nude paintings.

Keep up the awesome work. You give great tips and wonderful bento inspiration!

  21. By the way, I'm extremely offended by poo sculptures. Please remove it immediately! I won't even let my child look in the toilet after he goes. He's such a delicate thing. I wouldn't want him to see poo shaped rice while surfing the internet unsupervised!!!

  23. Hi! I just found your blog and I LOVE it! I'm sorry so many people are giving you grief over a boob rice sculpture. And although I can't see the actual image, I really don't see the big deal. As someone who worked in an grade-school after school program for 5 years, I can guarantee you, most 10 year olds have already done similar things with food, paper, clay, play-doh... you name it. (You should hear some of the stuff they say after they have their brief puberty awareness lessons).

  24. They do? Really? LOL.... That's something new to know!
Anyway, thank you so much for the comment, and welcome to Cute Food For Kids. Well.... Mostly for kids ^,^

  25. I just discovered the blog and only found this post because I looked in the section clearly marked as not for kids. If you let your child use Facebook and other blogs unsupervised, you have no right to complain about what they find.

  27. Seriously?! All I can say is WOW! Talk about over-thinking. They are breasts people, not a sex act. (Oops! Sorry, did the s-e-x word offend you?) Holy-moly get a grip.
As for you Tiffany, GREAT BLOG!!! What a fantastic collection of creativity. You don't have almost 15,000 followers and over 300,000 visitors (to date) for nothing! Puh-leease keep up EXACTLY what you are doing. The numbers don't lie.
